Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the Zswap website and interface (the “Service”), operated by [Company legal name] (“Zswap”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use it.
01What the Service is
Zswap is a non-custodial interface for swapping digital assets between supported networks. We request quotes and create swap orders with third-party routing and exchange providers on your behalf. You send funds from your own wallet or exchange account to a one-time deposit address; the providers execute the swap and deliver the output to the recipient address you enter.
We never take custody of your funds. We don’t hold balances, pool user assets or control the deposit addresses. We can’t reverse, cancel, pause or redirect a swap once your deposit is sent.
02Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.
- You must not be a person or entity subject to sanctions, or owned or controlled by one.
- You must not be located in, or a resident or citizen of, a Restricted Jurisdiction (below), and must not use tools such as VPNs to hide your location.
- You must use the Service only with assets you lawfully own and control.
03Restricted jurisdictions
The Service is not available in, and must not be used from, any jurisdiction subject to comprehensive sanctions by the United States, United Kingdom, European Union or United Nations, including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine, or any other jurisdiction where use of the Service would be unlawful ([counsel to confirm the list]). We may block access from these locations and refuse or stop any order.
04Compliance and prohibited use
Privacy is a standard, not a loophole. Compliance checks apply to every swap. To process an order, we pass your IP address, browser user agent and timezone to our routing partner, which, along with its exchange partners, screens transactions and may request information, delay, refund or decline a swap.
You agree not to use the Service:
- for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, fraud or any other unlawful purpose;
- with funds derived from crime, hacks, scams or other illicit activity;
- to interfere with, scrape, overload or attack the Service.
Providers may require identity verification for flagged transactions. We cannot override provider compliance decisions.
05Quotes, orders and your responsibilities
- Floating rate quotes are estimates; the amount you receive can differ with the market. Fixed rate quotes lock the output until the stated expiry and require a refund address.
- Send exactly the amount shown, of the token shown, on the network shown, before the order expires (usually about 30 minutes; fixed-rate orders often less). Only the first deposit is processed.
- You are responsible for entering correct recipient and refund addresses. Transactions on public blockchains are irreversible. Smart-contract wallets may not receive payouts correctly.
- Wrong-token, wrong-network, late or incorrect-amount deposits may be delayed, partially refunded or lost. Recovery, where possible, is handled by the provider and may incur fees.
06Fees
All fees — network, provider and our service fee — are included in the quoted amount. Refunds may be reduced by network and provider fees. [Describe the Zswap service fee, if any, and the $ZSWAP trading fee program separately.]
07Privacy and data retention
We keep as little as possible: an order reference (order ID, time created and token pair) for 72 hours. We don’t store your IP address or wallet addresses. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
08Risks
Using digital assets involves significant risk. You accept that:
- prices are volatile and the value you receive can change between quote and settlement;
- networks can congest, fork or fail, and providers can be delayed, unavailable or insolvent;
- private routing makes linking sender and receiver significantly harder but is not a guarantee of anonymity; blockchain data stays public and providers keep records they are legally required to;
- laws and regulations may change and may affect your ability to use the Service;
- the $ZSWAP rewards program depends on trading volume; distributions are not guaranteed and nothing on the Service is investment, legal or tax advice.
09Third-party providers
Swaps are executed by independent third parties. Their terms and policies may also apply. We’re not responsible for their acts, omissions, availability or compliance decisions, though we’ll help you escalate issues with your order ID.
10No warranty; limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Zswap is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost funds, profits or data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us for the order giving rise to it.
You agree to indemnify Zswap against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
11Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these Terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continued use means you accept it. These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction], with disputes resolved in [venue / arbitration body].
